Cybersecurity aims to connect science and practice in the field of cybersecurity. To achieve this, we work with many distinguished experts and professionals, both from the science community as well as the industry.
We are always looking for contributors to Cybersecurity Magazine. Do you work in the cybersecurity industry and have an interesting topic to discuss? Nathan Howe has over 20 years of experience in IT security.
He brings his knowledge as an IT architect, pen tester and security consultant to companies to help them meet the challenges of digital change.
Since 2016 he is working for the cloud security specialist Zscaler.
Neil Jones
Neil Jones, CISSP, is Cybersecurity Evangelist at Egnyte. Neil has extensive sales, client relationship development and management experience – combining strong technical knowledge with digital marketing and social media techniques that drive engagement, responses and sales pipeline. Before joining Egnyte, Neil held roles at HCL Software, IBM and Aditi Technologies.
Nigel Smart
Smart is a professor in the COSIC group at the KU Leuven. He has held two ERC Advanced grants. He was Vice President of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (2014-2016) and is a Fellow of the IACR. He is co-founder of Unbound Security and the Real World Cryptography conference.
Paolo Passeri
Paolo supports Netskope’s customers in protecting their journey to the cloud and is a security professional, with 20+ years experience in the infosec industry. He is the mastermind behind hackmageddon.com, a blog detailing timelines and statistics of all the main cyber-attacks occurred since 2011. It is the primary source of data and trends of the threat landscape for the Infosec community.
Paul Farrington
Paul Farrington, Chief Product Officer at Glasswall, is a DevSecOps dynamo. With over 20 years of experience launching secure software, he now keeps Glasswall’s product development team focused on delivering (and growing) the world’s most innovative CDR product portfolio. His previous roles include CTO and leadership positions at Veracode, BCSG, and Barclays.
Phil Robinson
Phil Robinson is Principal Security Consultant and Founder of Prism Infosec, the independent cybersecurity consultancy. An Associated Member of the ISSA, the (ISC)2 CISSP, ISACA CISA and a CHECK Team Leader, he is also a CLAS Consultant/Senior CCP Security and Information Risk Advisor and has assisted in the development of numerous penetration testing standards and certifications. Phil has been in information security for over 25 years.
Pranav Chaudhary
As a Full Stack Engineer with over 12 years of experience, I have developed expertise in a wide range of technologies including Java, React JS, TypeScript, Python, Spring, Android, CDK, AWS, SQL, NoSql and more. Throughout my career, I have worked with both B2B and B2C organizations to develop software applications that have impacted millions of customers worldwide. My passion for creating highly scalable and distributed systems using AWS Cloud has driven me to design and improve these applications. I have worked on creating highly distributed and scalable systems to secure customer hyper critical information. These systems will detect any security risk and create adequate alarm and take appropriate action to isolate the data to avoid any security incident. In order to provide a secure way to access these critical information, I have worked on creating client applications with various security controls. I have also successfully migrated monolithic systems to microservices to enhance the development and deployment experience while reducing time to production. I have created these applications to serve thousands of TPS and process trillions of messages daily. In addition to my technical skills, I am dedicated to mentoring my peers, junior engineers and interns to help them grow professionally. I am also a Senior Member of IEEE and Judge at various esteemed organization.
Prof. Ahmed Banafa
Prof. Ahmed Banafa has extensive research work with focus on IoT, Blockchain, cybersecurity and AI. He served as a faculty at well-known universities and colleges.
He is the recipient of several awards, including Distinguished Tenured Staff Award, Instructor of the year and Certificate of Honor from the City and County of San Francisco.
He was named as No.1 tech voice to follow by LinkedIn (with 38k+ followers ), featured in Forbes, IEEE-IoT and MIT Technology Review, with frequent appearances on ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC and Fox TV and Radio stations.
He studied Electrical Engineering at Lehigh University, Cybersecurity at Harvard University, and Digital Transformation at MIT.
Rajeev Prasad is the founder and CEO of River Publishers launched the company in 2007 in Denmark which now is an international brand with over 200 published titles and the same in pipeline. We also publishes scholarly societies such as IEEE, 3GPP, etc. The company is making strides to maintain a balance between open access and traditional publishing.
Rajeev Prasad is also the founder and editor of Cyber Security Magazine. The aim of the magazine is to promote expert views on the topic of cyber security, as well as the magazine sources its expertise in supporting medium size companies to meet their marketing objectives.
