Evaluating the Impact of Traffic Sampling on AATAC’s DDoS Detection

Distributed Denial of Services (DDOS) Attacks are still one of the most persistent threats on the internet. One possibility of fighting it is the AATAC (Autonomous Algorithm for Traffic Anomaly Characterization) – a concept introduced in 2017.

The authors of this concept describe in their new article, how AATAC can be used in industrial-scale environments using network traffic samples and that AATAC performs better than regular DDOS detectors.
